All work is carried out by group members at our base with donations recieved from public contributions, attending rallies and from our own pockets.

All pictures on this site have eather been scanned into the galleries from the originals in members private collections or recieved through emails, If there happen to be any pictures which breach the copyright of other web sites or peoples private collections please let us know which pictures they are and they will be removed A.S.A.P. with our appologies.

This bus was bought new by Blackpool Transport in 1995 in the old Handy Bus livery of mainly black with yellow skirts and a yellow stripe above the windows on each side. When Metro Coastlines was brought in to replace the Blackpool Transport branding in 2003 she was repainted into the original "pool" livery of mustard, yellow and black being changed to the "new pool" livery of the black and yellow livery she is currently in.

589 is our surrogate 3rd bus and was bought for preservation in 2008 by Alan who is a share holder in our group and has restored it to its original "Handybus" livery. Alan kindly allows us to use his bus to go to rallies etc and we will be helping him with repairs and work on the bus.

We are hoping this will be the 4th bus in our collection later once Blackpool Transport are ready to retire her.

364 was the last new Atlantean purchased by Blackpool Corporation Transport Dept. in 1984 before Blackpool Transport Services was set up. 364 has similar East Lancs long wheel base body work to that of our Lancaster City Transport bus 222.

After checking with the DVLA we can now confirm that this bus is the 2nd to last Atlantean EVER made for the home market 45 being the last, and 3rd to last is 364's sister in Blackpool Transport 363, all these buses were also the last coach seated examples ever made as well, and yes we can prove it.

364 is still being operated by Blackpool Transport solely on schools workings, limited private hire work and with kind permission of Mr Steven Burd with us to rallies.
